9. Battery Warning

Keep batteries out of reach of children.

Ingestion may cause chemical burns, perforation of soft tissues and even death. Severe burns may occur within 2hours after ingestion. Seek immediate medical attention.

10. Warnings

This battery is non-rechargeable. Attempting to charge it may cause electrolyte leakage or equipment damage.

Observe correct positive (+) and negative () polarity during installation; incorrect polarity may result in unintended charging or overdischarging of the battery.

Do not short circuit, heat, throw into fire or disassemble the battery.

Forced discharge is prohibited. Excess internal gas generation may lead to swelling, leakage or explosion.

Do not mix old and new batteries. When replacing batteries, replace all batteries with identical brand model units.

Remove exhausted batteries from battery compartments to avoid over discharge which can cause leakage and equipment damage.

Do not solder directly onto the battery; soldering will damage the battery.

Keep batteries out of reach of children to prevent accidental swallowing. Seek immediate medical help in case of accident.

Do not disassemble or deform the battery.

Do not store or carry batteries together with metallic objects (e.g. keys, coins) to avoid shortcircuiting.

Do not immerse batteries in water or expose them to high humidity environments.

Do not modify or directly solder the battery.

If battery leakage occurs, avoid skin and eye contact. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice.

11. Notes

If leaked battery substance gets into eyes, flush continuously with running water for at least 15minutes and consult an ophthalmologist immediately.

If abnormal conditions such as strange odour, heating, discolouration or deformation occur during use or storage, remove the battery from the device immediately and dispose of it properly.

Do not mix batteries of different types, brands or widely varying capacities.

Avoid exposing batteries to extreme high temperatures (e.g. direct sunlight, near radiators).

12. Waste Prevention and Management Information for Primary Disposable Batteries

In accordance with requirements under the EU Battery Regulation and Waste Framework Directive, producers or their authorised Producer Responsibility Organisations shall supply the following information to end users and distributors for non-rechargeable primary batteries placed on the market within EU Member States:

(a) Role of end users in waste prevention

Use batteries correctly following equipment manufacturer instructions. Avoid storing or using batteries under extreme temperature or high humidity conditions. Remove batteries from devices that will not be used for long periods to prevent leakage or unnecessary discharge. These batteries are non-rechargeable; never attempt to charge them as this may cause leakage or rupture. When exhausted, please take batteries to designated collection points for potential material recovery and recycling.

(b) Role of end users in separate collection (Article64)

End users are obliged to dispose of waste batteries separately from household waste. Do not discard batteries with unsorted municipal waste or litter them. Separate collection enables proper treatment and resource recovery (e.g. zinc, manganese, steel), supporting EU environmental objectives.

(c) Separate collection, collection points, reuse / preparation for reuse and treatment

Waste batteries may be returned via: collection bins at retail outlets; municipal recycling centres; designated battery collection points. Collected batteries go through sorting, pre treatment (including electrolyte neutralisation) and material recovery. Reuse or preparation for reuse generally does not apply to disposable batteries; maximum material recovery will be pursued.

(d) Safety instructions for handling waste batteries

Do not store waste batteries together with metal items to prevent short circuiting. If batteries show leakage (e.g. white crystalline residues), deformation or overheating signs, wear protective gloves and isolate them inside a plastic bag. Never throw batteries into fire; this may cause explosion and release hazardous fumes. Keep waste batteries away from children. Seek urgent medical care if swallowed.

(e) Meaning of labels and symbols (Article13)

- No-charging symbol: This battery cannot be recharged; charging attempts may lead to leakage or explosion.

(f) Impacts of substances on human health and the environment

Primary disposable batteries contain materials including zinc, manganese. Improper disposal such as landfilling or incineration can cause electrolyte leakage leading to soil and water contamination, and heavy metal accumulation in the environment. Ingestion of batteries can cause bodily harm; keep them away from children. Misdisposal increases environmental burden, wastes recyclable resources and may trigger fires or injuries during waste treatment operations. Leaking batteries may cause chemical burns; handle with care.

This information supports responsible use and disposal by endusers in compliance with EU waste legislation.

13. Declaration of Conformity
